STEEL FIBERS
Steel fibres strengthen concrete by resisting tensile cracking. Fibre reinforced concrete has a higher flexural strength than that of unreinforced concrete and concrete reinforced with welded wire fabric.
Typical applications for steel fiber concrete flooring can be found on parking lots, playgrounds, airport runways, taxiways, maintenance hangars, access roads, and workshops. This method is also widely used for port pavements, container storage and handling areas, bulk storage warehouses, and military warehouses.
The main conclusions are as follows:(1)With the increase in steel fiber content, all of these mechanical properties such as compression strength, flexural strength, and splitting tensile strength improve gradually; especially for flexural strength and splitting tensile strength
